Years have gone so quickly. Looking back, I can still vividly feel with all my senses the events that had happened to me in college. The trail isn’t that fair and smooth sailing but through it, I have learned countless things that helped me become and achieve where I am today and in that case, I will ceaselessly bear it in my heart and if given the opportunity, impart it to others as long as I am here on this planet. Life is but a big canvas and we have to throw away all the paint that we have on it. College life seemed to be a rollercoaster ride for me; it didn’t have monotony season for it was really like a dramatic-suspense-action-horror-thriller motion picture. Isn’t that funny? Though there were bright days when we had our victories for every passing (if not high) grades that we have for our subjects (not to mention the difficult major ones) taken and for those days that we are saved by the bell for our exams; there were also times of stress, frustration and depression. But I strongly believe that for every cloud, there lies a silver lining in it. I have learned to face and overcome every challenge that came my way. It doesn’t feel great to have failing grades, frustrating complex examinations, mind-numbing projects, wakeful nights and restless days but it has given us the chance to grow and do our better in everything, if not best. My college life was but a beautiful memory to be cherished forever. I learned to take chances, give everything and have no regrets. I know that life is too short to be unhappy. We have to take the good with the bad, and smile when we are sad. The fact that people change and things go wrong, I constantly bear in mind that life goes on, still. I learned to appreciate life all the more because of the people who were with me during my journey—my colleagues, mentors, professors, family, and friends who inspired everyone including me to pursue the goal and dream that I have. And now, I am overwhelmed with gratitude because God just really know what does make me smile and bring joy within me. Unexpected dealings came into sight but I learned to rise above them because I know that I have a big gracious God who holds and carries me in His hands. Smile forevermore!
